****MORNING SURF UP-DATE**** Howdy folks and here we go again with another run down on whats happening on the beach and reefs here on the No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali.
So I was back down the beach this morning at 7.00am (had a few araks with the boys last night…). Wave height appears to have dropped off just the slightest amount but still showing in the 2-3ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left.
Wind direction was clean and true coming outta the ESE @ 4-8knot and straight off-shore between Kuta and Uluwatu.
Tide wise the first up was a 0.1mtr Low @ 7.00Am and then a 2.0mtr High around lunch time and finishing the day of with a 0.5mtr Low around sunset time.
Once again with the low tide through the early Am it was a bit too shallow on Kuta Reef and Airports, but even so there were some perfect little waves peeling off on Kuta Reef in the 1-2ft class, with 2 surfers trying to catch em
Middle Reef on the other hand and as we all know is a lot tide wave was producing some pretty nice waves in the waist to head high range, but with a solid crowd of around 20 surfers on it.
Looking for a wave today you can always take a look along the too many to mention different sand banks between Kuta and Legian on the higher end of the tide. But remember it’s still school holidays so they’ll be full of local grommets ripping it apart. Balangan down on the Bukit had some ok little 1-3 footers breaking down there yesterday and I’d assume it’d be similar down there again today. I’ve got to meet some guests at lunch time but am planning to head down the Bukit myself later this afternoon to snap ya’s some new photos so drop in later on this evening or come back tomorrow for a Captain Cook.
Weather wise we had a few drops of rain through the very early AM but now at 11.00AM it’s clear sailing with blue sky and sunshine, heading for a top temperature of around 33 degree’s Celsius.
Water Temperature ; 24 degree’s Celsius.
Swell Forecast (2nd – 7th October) small but fun sized waves are what we have today but maybe dropping off a touch through Friday and Saturday morning before a new moderate sized swell will start to show on the reefs around Saturday afternoon. This one should hold through till Monday and then finally fading back down into the 2-3ft+ range come Tuesday.
.Photo Up-Date; I also better let ya’s know that there’s another 120 photos been loaded into of Surfing Gallery for the month of September..
