****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE**** Hello to all you surfers tuning into the baliwaves.com for the most complete run down on Bali’s surf and weather conditions your going to find anywhere on the net.
First of all I just better let you all know why there was no surf report yesterday, why ? because there was no surf, well no real surf anyway. The Outer Reefs here in Tuban were flat with only just the occasional half footer breaking on the lower end of the tide. I had a phone in report from Uluwatu also assuring me that wave height at Uluwatu was also only in the waist high region.
But this mornings 6.00AM surf check of the Outer Reefs was showing a slight increase in wave height with 1-3 footers breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Well KR and AL were pretty well out of the equation but there was 1 lone surfer out at Middle Reef catch waves up to head high plus.
Surfing conditions were clean and tidy even though the wind was coming out of the North @ 1-2knot. Wind direction has been varying out of just about every quadrant of the compass since then.
Tide wise the first was a 0.1mtr Low @ 6.00AM then we had a midday 1.9mtr High and we’ll fit in another 0.6mtr Low around 6.00PM this afternoon.
As it’s plain to see I made the run down to Uluwatu this morning arriving @ 9.00AM to find wave height a fairly consistant 2-3ft+. The main surfing focus was centered on the Main Peak and there was a healthy crown of around 45 surfers spread between the Main Peak and Racetrack sections. There was also another dozen surfer riding the Temple section.
Tomorrow is looking pretty much the same as what we have today but maybe just a touch smaller.
Weather wise it was pretty well clouded over through the early AM but now @ 1.30PM it’s back to a basic blue sky with the temperature sitting around the 33 degree Celsius mark.
Swell Forecast , 31st Oct – 6th Nov. Well things are looking pretty average swell wise over the next week. Small waves in the waist to head high plus range depending on location.
