****MORNING SURF UP-DATE**** Hello to all you surfers tuning back into the baliwaves.com for more surf and weather info from your favourite surfing holiday island of Bali.
This morning I had to wait for the rain to stop at 9.00Am before I could get down to the beach for a surf recon of the Outer Reefs. And even then it wasn’t looking real pretty. Wave height has dropped off over night and now only just showing in the knee to waist high range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left.
Surfing conditions here along the West Coast of Bali are once again choppy and un-even due to the wind coming out of the WSW @ 3-5knot. But as we know on-shore here on the West Coast means off-shore over on the East Coast.
Tide wise today we had a 1.6mtr High @ 7.00AM and then we will see a 0.7mtr Low around the 1.00PM mark.
Looking for a wave today , well the boys staying with us here at Home Base made a dawn patrol run back over to Serangan and reckoned wave height has also backed off over there this morning. There were already 20 surfers in the water at 6.30AM with wave height in the 1-2ft+ range. My pick would be to head for Keramas just after lunch for the start of the run in tide. Padang Galak might have also been worth a look this morning and that’s where we might head for tomorrow.
Weather wise , like I said she was a wet old start to the week this morning with a few hours of consistent rain. Now at 11.00AM it’s still mainly overcast but the sun is starting to bust through. I’d say we are going to be in for a hot and humid Monday afternoon.
Swell Forecast 24th-30th Nov ; Not a great deal to look forward to over the next 7 day period with wave height only expected to be showing in the 2-4ft range at the better locations around Bali. The yo-yo effect will be in place.
