****MORNING SURF UP-DATE**** Good morning surfers and a big thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com for your daily dose of Bali surfing and weather information.
Firstly as you can see we have some new photos that I shot over at Serangan yesterday afternoon. Surfing conditions had change quite a bit from the clean and calm of the morning but there were still a few small waves in the 1-3ft range. Around 12.00noon yesterday the wind turned to the SSW and increased into the 6-10knot strength so Serangan was the only semi clean wave on offer. All in all there would have been around 75 surfers spread through the little peaks.
This morning and I made a bolt down to the beach for the surf recon and just made it back before the rain has started. Surfing conditions are not looking to good on the Outer Reefs this morning with wave height having dropped back off again (re: yo-yo effect) into the 1ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Not to mention that the wind was fresh out of the WSW @ 5-8knot. But now that the rain has started the wind seems to have backed off some.
Tide wise the first will be a 1.8mtr High @ 10.00AM and then a Low of 0.7mtrs @ 4.00PM
Looking for a wave today I’d say your going to be hard pressed and very keen for that matter. But for those of us that just have to get in the water everyday (and I do remember that feeling…. Surf or die) you will be best off heading back over to the East Coast, and the best waves will be found before midday.
Weather wise today it’s wet and grey for now but usually clearing by midday, fingers crossed.
Swell Forecast 24th-30th Nov ; Not a great deal to look forward to over the next 7 day period with wave height only expected to be showing in the 2-4ft range at the better locations around Bali. The yo-yo effect will be in place.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you will find that 1AU$=Rp7,600 – 1US$=Rp12,500 give or take 100 Rupiah.
