****MORNING SURF UP-DATE**** Hi folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves again today for another look at whats happening surf and weather wise here on the happy little holiday island of Bali.
Just before I get to the surf and weather stuff I just want to mention that yesterday afternoon I took a ride up through the usually crowded Poppies Lane 2 in Kuta to find it almost like a deserted ghost town in comparison. So when the surf does start to improve you can watch it and weep right here. I do feel for the locals here in Bali suffering a lack of trade from all the travel warnings. But for the surfers still here it’s going to be surfers paradise.
OK this mornings 6.45AM surf check of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was still showing wave height only in the waist to chest high plus range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. And with the tide getting close to the bottom of the Low only Middle Reef was worth the paddle.
Surfing conditions were clean and smooth with the wind blowing straight off-shore coming out of the ESE @ 1-3knot.
Tide wise our first was a 0.3mtr Low @ 8.00AM and then we’ll have a 1.7mtr High @ 2.00PM.
Looking for a wave today , well some of our guests took the easy option and hit Middle Reef and reckoned it was well worth the effort with only 3-6 surfers in the water and plenty of fun sized waist to chest high plus set waves on offer. Down south on the Bukit you would be able to find similar sized waves at Balangan as the tide starts to run in. Uluwatu would also have some slightly bigger waves for the boys and girls down there on the Main Peak, also as the tide starts to run up. The beach breaks of Kuta and Legian would have a few waist high plus waves around midday for those who don’t like surfing over a reef.
Weather wise today we kicked off with some cloud cover that eventually saw some light rain falling between 8.00 – 9.00AM but now at 10.30AM the sky is starting to break up and we should be in for another hot and humid day in Bali.
Swell Forecast, 4th -9th Nov . Small waves for the remainder of today and into Thursday and then we should see a small pulse in wave height through Thursday afternoon and into Friday. Come Saturday / Sunday and we will be back in action with a medium sized swell forecasted. That should stick around until Monday before adding out.
