****MORNING SURF UP-DATE**** Hello friends and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves.com to see whats happening on your favourite surfing destination of Bali. And by the way I haven’t seen any Rabid dogs, cats or monkeys roaming around Tuban ? Actually I think more people get stabbed and shot in 1 day in Australia than people have did from Rabies in Bali in the last 50yrs ?
Yesterday the 14th and the wind was back out of the West and on-shore and wave height down in the half to one foot range on the Outer Reefs. But we did make it over to Serangan on the East Coast to find wave height still coming through in the 2-3ft+ or waist to head high plus range.
This mornings surf recon of the Outer Reefs was showing wave height still in that half to one foot class and the wind coming out of the West at 5-9knot.
Tide wise today the first will be a 0.1mtr Low @ 6.00Am then a 1.9mtr High @ 12.00noon then we’ll finish off with another 0.7mtr Low @ 6.00Pm.
Looking for a wave today there’s no choice othe than to head back over to the East Coast and take a look anywhere between Green Bowls and Keramas. Hopefully we will be heading back across to Serangan around mid afternoon to try and get you some new photos to check out.
Weather wise we didn’t have any rain last night but we do have light cloud cover. Right now @ 10.30Pm the temperature is a humid 27 degree’s Celsius and the water temp sitting around the 24 degree Celsius mark.
Swell Forecast ; Hmmm, well we have definitely been through a tough period swell wise over the last 3 weeks or so and still not much relief in sight. All the charts are showing for wave height to get even smaller over this week then hopefully a small pulse should come through around next Friday / Saturday putting wave height back into the 2-3ft+ range.
The good guys from the Macaroni Surf Resort up in the Mentawai Islands have also sent us through an “end of season” wrap up and included some super special deals for anyone wanting to get in early and book for the coming 2009 season. So check that out on the Macaroni Report under Surf Reports.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you will find that 1AU$=Rp7,175 – 1US$=Rp10,950 give or take 100 Rupiah.
