****MORNING SURF UP-DATE**** Good morning my surfing friends and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com for todays run down on whats happening surf and weather wise around Bali.
Yesterday the 19th and conditions were once again trashed. Wave height down into the 1-2ft range at Uluwatu and the win d strong out of the WSW @ 8-11knot. I had to do something so I was out live baiting for Spanish Macks off Uluwatu and noticed that the sloppy surfing conditions didn’t stop around half a dozen surfers from being out there having a go.
Today the 20th and my 7.00AM surf recon of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban wasn’t showing any change in wave height, as yet anyway. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was only just showing in the half a foot class and the wind coming straight out of the West @ 6-9knot.
Tide wise today the first will be a 0.5mtr Low @ 9.00Am and then filling back in for a 2.0mtr High around 3.30Pm.
Looking for a wave today , well I won’t be but if I was I would head down to Geger Beach at Nusa Dua and you might find some small waves and clean conditions. Hopefully wave height should pick up a touch as the tide starts to run back in.
Weather wise we had some light rain through the early hours leaving us with a grey sky and the chance of further possible rain. But still we can expect a maximum temperature of around 28-29 degree’s Celsius.
Swell Forecast for the coming week, isn’t looking much better than what we have had over the last month. More micro to small waves, hopefully cracking the head high class if we are lucky.
The good guys from the Macaroni Surf Resort up in the Mentawai Islands have also sent us through an “end of season” wrap up and included some super special deals for anyone wanting to get in early and book for the coming 2009 season. So check that out on the Macaroni Report under Surf Reports.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you will find that 1AU$=Rp7,585 – 1US$=Rp10,650 give or take 100 Rupiah.
I also just wanna refresh ya’s about what baliwaves.com is all about. We’re not trying to flog ya’s surf trips or sell ya’s anything for that matter, we’re just trying to show ya’s how good it is here in Bali / Indonesia for a surfing holiday. We want you guys to come over and have a ball and then go back home and tell your friends how good it is.
