****MORNING SURF UP-DATE**** Hello crew, and welcome back to the baliwaves.com for our Sunday Session on whats happening surf and weather wise here on the happy little holiday island of Bali.
Well it’s a pity the swell forecasts didn’t deliver what they predicted because yesterday afternoon surfing conditions were pristine on the Outer Reefs with absolutely no wind but alas, no swell.
This mornings 7.00Am surf check of the Outer’s was looking pretty much the same as they have over the last month, 0-1ft waves lapping onto the reef between Kuta Reef and Airport Left.
Surfing conditions were not too bad with the wind coming lightly out of the W-SW at 1-4knot.
Tide wise today we will have a 0.6mtr Low @ 10.00Am and then a High of 2.0mtrs @ 4.30Pm.
Looking for a wave today , we’ll the boys and I are going to start off with a quick look at Uluwatu if the wind holds off. Otherwise we’ll head for Serangan or Secrets at Padang Galak.
Weather wise it was looking pretty good before we had a rain storm blow in from the WSW and drop it’s load on us. But now at 9.30Am the rain has passed and the sky is also starting to clear up. No doubt we’ll be feeling a hot and humid temperature of around 30 degree’s Celsius by midday.
Photo Up-date ; Our good old friend Scotto has sent us through some photos and a report from the Duranbah (just around the headland from the Super Bank) in Australia. So make sure you check out those while you are waiting for me to get back with some freash Bali photos later this afternoon.
Don’t forget you can drop us an email through the “Contact” link if you have any questions that might help your next vist to the holiday island run a bit smoother.
Swell Forecast for the coming week, isn’t looking much better than what we have had over the last month. More micro to small waves, hopefully cracking the head high class if we are lucky.
The good guys from the Macaroni Surf Resort up in the Mentawai Islands have also sent us through an “end of season” wrap up and included some super special deals for anyone wanting to get in early and book for the coming 2009 season. So check that out on the Macaroni Report under Surf Reports.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you will find that 1AU$=Rp7,585 – 1US$=Rp10,650 give or take 100 Rupiah.
I also just wanna refresh ya’s about what baliwaves.com is all about. We’re not trying to flog ya’s surf trips or sell ya’s anything for that matter, we’re just trying to show ya’s how good it is here in Bali / Indonesia for a surfing holiday. We want you guys to come over and have a ball and then go back home and tell your friends how good it is.
G-Land ; “SPECIAL OFFER FOR BALIWAVES.COM VIEWERS, 10% DISCOUNT” thanks to the G-land Surf Camp for sending us some new photos from G-land. And you can take a look at those on the G-Land page under the report section. You can also drop us an email if you want to cash in and find out how to get the 10% discount offer at the G-Land surf camp in 2009.
We also have a NEW Home Base guest house close by to Airport Left and the other breaks of the Outer Reefs, 5 min walk. This place is more private and spacious with big air conditioned rooms, hot and cold water, tv and plenty of off street parking all enclosed in Balinese style. The rooms are US$15.00 for a room with big double bed and US$28.00 for a twin share room
If it’s somewhere a little more private you’r looking for take a look at the private bungalow for rent we have in our Business Directory and drop the owner Michael Owen an email. Michael is one of the old school surfers who rubs shoulders with the likes of Gerry Lopez and Peter McCabe just to name a couple of Indo Legends.
Bali Fishing New’s ; I finally got around to loading up some of the photos I’ve taken of some of the fish we’ve caught over the last 4 weeks. Plus a bit of a run down on what we’ve been up to. You can find that on our Fishing Report Page in the Reports Menue.
And just a reminder that we still have some original baliwaves.com T-Shirts (AU$15.00) and FREE stickers available for ya’s here in Bali so drop me a line.
Don’t forget if any of you lot want to grab some photos or video footage surfing here in Bali and we can easily arrange it for ya. Or if ya check out the Wotashot.com banner you might even find a photo of you on your last trip to Bali.
