****MORNING SURF UP-DATE**** Hey and a huge welcome back to the baliwaves.com surf and weather report website !!!. We certainly hope you lot have had a fantastic Christmas ’08 and now gearing up for a huge New Year’s eve all around the World.
This mornings 7.00Am surf recon of the Outer reefs here in down town Tuban was showing wave height to have crept up a touch into the 1-2ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. And unlike the previous last two days the wind is now howling out of the W-WSW but only light out of the WNW @ 2-4knot. Well at least for now anyway…
Tidewise today we have a 1.7mtr High @ 10.00Am followed up by 0.8mtr Low @ 4.00Pm. Today we will also have a New Moon rising so we can expect to see much bigger differences between the high and low tide’s over the next few days.
Looking for a wave today I’d be steering clear of the West Coast due to the amount of rubbish and dead fish in the water… Over on the East Coast it won’t be hard to find some waves at just about any location between Green Bowls and Keramas. And you can count on Serangan being the most crowded.
Weather wise we have a hot and very humid day coming on for the beach lovers, expecting a maximum temperature of around 31-33 degree’s Celsius.
Don’t forget you can drop us an email through the “Contact” link if you have any questions that might help your next vist to the holiday island run a bit smoother.
The good guys from the Macaroni Surf Resort up in the Mentawai Islands have also sent us through an “end of season” wrap up and included some super special deals for anyone wanting to get in early and book for the coming 2009 season. So check that out on the Macaroni Report under Surf Reports.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you will find that 1AU$=Rp7,585 – 1US$=Rp10,650 give or take 100 Rupiah.
I also just wanna refresh ya’s about what baliwaves.com is all about. We’re not trying to flog ya’s surf trips or sell ya’s anything for that matter, we’re just trying to show ya’s how good it is here in Bali / Indonesia for a surfing holiday. We want you guys to come over and have a ball and then go back home and tell your friends how good it is.
G-Land ; “SPECIAL OFFER FOR BALIWAVES.COM VIEWERS, 10% DISCOUNT” thanks to the G-land Surf Camp for sending us some new photos from G-land. And you can take a look at those on the G-Land page under the report section. You can also drop us an email if you want to cash in and find out how to get the 10% discount offer at the G-Land surf camp in 2009.
We also have a NEW Home Base guest house close by to Airport Left and the other breaks of the Outer Reefs, 5 min walk. This place is more private and spacious with big air conditioned rooms, hot and cold water, tv and plenty of off street parking all enclosed in Balinese style. The rooms are US$15.00 for a room with big double bed and US$28.00 for a twin share room
If it’s somewhere a little more private you’r looking for take a look at the private bungalow for rent we have in our Business Directory and drop the owner Michael Owen an email. Michael is one of the old school surfers who rubs shoulders with the likes of Gerry Lopez and Peter McCabe just to name a couple of Indo Legends.
Bali Fishing New’s ; I finally got around to loading up some of the photos I’ve taken of some of the fish we’ve caught over the last 4 weeks. Plus a bit of a run down on what we’ve been up to. You can find that on our Fishing Report Page in the Reports Menue.
And just a reminder that we still have some original baliwaves.com T-Shirts (AU$15.00) and FREE stickers available for ya’s here in Bali so drop me a line.
Don’t forget if any of you lot want to grab some photos or video footage surfing here in Bali and we can easily arrange it for ya. Or if ya check out the Wotashot.com banner you might even find a photo of you on your last trip to Bali.
Best Regards from the No.1 surfing holiday destination that’s got it all, BALI, see ya’s here in 2008
