****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE**** Good afternoon, evening or morning for that matter, depending on which part of the World your tuning into the baliwaves.com from. Sorry to keep ya’s waiting for todays run down on whats happening surf and weather wise here on your holiday island of Bali. (where you won’t get stranded at the airport..)
Well after taking a look at the Outer Reefs this morning and finding wave height still down in the 1ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left I thought I’d sit it out and wait for the expected swell increase and head for cleaner pasture’s over on the East Coast.
Surfing conditions this morning were pretty untidy here along the premier West Coast with the wind fresh out of the West @ 6-8knot. But clean and off-shore over on the East Coast.
Tide wise today the first was a 0.2mtr Low @ 8.00AM and then we had a medium sized 1.9mtr High on 2.00PM.
Serangan as you can see in these latest photos to come out of Bali was producing set waves in the 3-4ft+, breaking both left and right. There wasn’t too bad a crowd out in the water either, at 4.00PM there would have only been around 30+ surfers spread over two different sections. Stand out surfer in my opinion was Rusty Team Rider “Tole”.
Weather wise we’ve had a classic day of blue sky and sunshine without the slightest chance of rain. Temperature wise the mercury would have easily past 30 degree’s Celsius.
Swell Forecast 1st Dec – 6th Dec : Well unfortunately for now we are still in the grip of the yo-yo effect and can only expect to see wave height in the head to head high plus range at best over the next few days to come. Then around Wednesday / Thursday hopefully we will get a small spike in size through till Friday before dropping back down into the waist to head high class at the better locations over the coming weekend.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you will find that 1AU$=Rp7,900 – 1US$=Rp12,100 give or take 100 Rupiah.
