****MORNING SURF UP-DATE**** Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves.com for the latest news on Bali’s surf and weather conditions. And I think by now you guys and girls know we are the only surf report site for Bali that delivers the goods all year round.
Yesterday one of our guests staying with us here at Home base made the solo run over to Serangan on the Eastern side of the island. Lucas said wave height was getting into the double head high range and that suring conditions were clean and tidy with off-shore wind coming out of the West.
This morning I’ve sent my brother in-law (Ketut) who I’ve been kinda training to read surfing conditions on the Outer Reefs down for a look at the Outer’s. Ketut said wave height has dropped off from yesterday, which by the way had kept increasing through out the day and into the 3-5ft (double head high) class. Today wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was down in the waist to shoulder high plus range. So it’s more than likely mellowed out some over on the East Coast as well.
Surfing conditions on the Outer Reefs were clean and glassy with the wind coming lightly out of the NW @ 1-2knot+ at 7.00AM.
Tide wise today the first of our tide’s will be a 0.8mtr Low @ 10.30Am and then she’ll be running back in for a 2.1mtr High around 5.00Pm.
Weather wise , early morning rain clearing up for just another hot, humid and sunny day on Bali. Heading for a maximum temperature of around 30-32 degree’s Celsius. Water temperature, perfect.
Looking for a wave today we’ll the early bird could have snuck in a wave down at Uluwatu I’m sure. I’d be thinking that as the day goes on the wind will be increasing in strength and turning more to the Western quadrant. Then your going to be better off having a search over on the East Coast between Nusa Dua and Keramas.
Photo up-dates . Good news crew, Ray Wilcoxen from up the Kandui Surfing Resort in the Mentawai Islands has sent us through their first surf report and photos for 2009 and you can read and see what Ray has been up to on the report page (menue-surf report-Kandui) Our man on the Gold Coast Scotto has been out swimming with his new piece of equipment and sent us through some photos and words from the Super Bank of Australia’s Gold Coast. You’ll find that one in the Readers Report (menue-reports-readers) Plus our video man Mr Dewa Made Suarjana will be heading out today with the video equipment to shoot us some new footage so if ya can drop back in later this afternoon for a Captain Cook (look).
Other than that little lot, we hope you all have a great day, even if your not here on the happy little holiday island of Bali.
Don’t forget you can drop us an email through the “Contact” link if you have any questions that might help your next vist to the holiday island run a bit smoother.
We still have some original baliwaves.com T-Shirts (AU$15.00) and FREE stickers available for ya’s here in Bali so drop me a line.
I also just wanna refresh ya’s about what baliwaves.com is all about. We’re not trying to flog ya’s surf trips or sell ya’s anything for that matter, we’re just trying to show ya’s how good it is here in Bali / Indonesia for a surfing holiday. We want you guys to come over and have a ball and then go back home and tell your friends how good it is.
