Hello surfers and welcome back to the baliwaves.com for your daily dose of Bali surf and weather info.
This mornings 7.00Am surf recon of the Outer Reefs was showing wave height to have suffered another drop in wave height, down into the 1ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. With the wind direction on-shore out of the West @ 5-9knot. I also made a quick call to a friends who lives at Uluwatu and he reckoned wave height was barely pushing the shoulder to head range.
So Ketut my new offsider and myself decided we had better head over to Serangan on the East Coast and take a look. We held off until 1.00Pm and on arrival there was some left and right handers peeling off straight out the front of the beach side cafes. While the wind direction over there was blowing straight off-shore, surfing conditions were clean and tidy but with at least 80 surfers in the water. And alas, after only having just set up the 1000mm lens the wind did a switcheroo and turned Southerly on us. As you can see from around photo No.7 onwards. But hopefully we’ll get back on location over the weekend and keep the reports flowing for ya’s.
Tide wise today we had a 0.1mtr Low @ 7.30Am and then a 2.2mtr High around the 12.30Pm mark.
Weather wise the day started of great, plenty of blue sky and a fine beach day ahead. Until 4.00Pm this afternoon when the clouds rolled in and the rain started… But we still managed a top temperature of around 31 degree’s Celsius, so all in all not a bad day in Bali.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Tuban you’ll find that 1AU$=Rp7,350 and 1US$=Rp11,150 give or take 100Rupiah depending on vender.
