Good morning surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves.com for more news on todays surfing and weather conditions from your favourite surfing holiday destination of Bali.
It sure was a welcome relief to get back down to Uluwatu yesterday and an added bonus to find some clean surfing conditions. This mornings 7.45Am surf recon of the Outer Reefs wasn’t looking too bad either. Wave height (re: swell forecast) has indeed jumped over night and now showing in the 2-3ft+ (shoulder to over head) range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left.
Wind direction is coming out of the North @ 4-9knot and surfing conditions are clean enough to surf the West Coast this morning. Although I didn’t see anyone out while I was on the beach.
Tide wise today we had a 0.4mtr Low @ 8.00Am and then we’ll get a solid 2.4mtr High around the 2.00Pm mark
Looking for a wave today; Well I’d have to go for the West Coast this morning. And locations like Canggu, Balian and Medewi would all be producing the goods with clean off-shore wind. Here on the Outer Reefs Middle Reef is breaking nicely with the wind blowing into the left handers. Kuta Reef should also have some fun waves in the head high range as the tide moves in a bit more. Uluwatu would have to be breaking in the 3-5ft range and there’s be waves down there for the Ulu crew as well. Likewise at Bingin, I’m sure there’d be a few low tide tube rides on offer being even more protected in there.
Weather wise; Yesterday afternoon we had one helluva storm blow into the Kuta area and I’ve heard it’s still flooded in some parts of the Poppies Lane and Legian area’s this morning. Right now at 10.00Am and the sky is still clouded over and the very possible chance of more rain to come today. Heading for a maximum temperature of around 26-28 degree’s Celsius.
Swell Forecast; looking at the charts available for this region and they are calling for wave height to continue dropping through out today and into tomorrow. But then hopefully sometime late Sunday they are showing a a new small swell to start showing holding through Monday and starting to back off again through Tuesday.
Baliwaves.com News; I know it’s taken a long time in coming… But I’ve been assured that some time in the next 7-10 days our new design for baliwaves.com should finally be on-line.
