****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE
Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves.com for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions here on the holiday island of Bali.
This mornings 7.30am surf check of the Outer Reefs was as expected showing a sudden drop in wave height. Now only showing in the 1-2ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Kuta Reef had a few small but perfect shaped 1-2 footers while the tide was still running in. Middle Reef was breaking in the 2-3ft range (waist to head high) and Airport Left was also picking up the odd head high set wave.
Sms surf report from the G-land surf camp which came through at 9.00am was saying that wave height has also dropped off a touch over at G-land but still showing in the 4-5ft range at Money Tree’s. And at the time there was only 1 surfer in the water….
Wind direction was clean and blowing straight off-shore coming out of the East at 4-8knot.
Tidal info; another solid 2.6mtr High set to fill in and fatten up the waves between 11.00am and 12.00noon. Then there will be a reef exposing .1mtr Low around the 6.00pm mark.
Looking for a wave today, my guess would be to head back down towards Uluwatu as thats where the most swell will be showing here on Bali.
Weather wise it’s just another perfect beach day again here in Bali, blue sky and an expected top temperature of around 31 degree’s Celsius.
Ok folks we hope you all have a nice Easter Sunday where ever you might be and stay tuned to the one and only baliwaves.com next week as we should be seeing more swell hitting our reefs.
Take it easy

****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
****no internet service on the 11th…..****
Howdy crew and thanks for taking the time out to drop into the baliwaves.com for the latest on whats been happening surfing and weather wise here on the very happy little holiday island of Bali.
And happy we are today. This mornings surf recon of the Outer reefs was showing a definate increase in wave height with 2-3 footers breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport left. But I didn’t see anyone out there at the time. But we had Uluwatu on our agenda today and thats where these current photo were shot.
Apon arrival at Ulu wave height was still only showing in the 2-3ft range but as the tide pushed further in towards the top of the tide wave height started to push the 3-4ft+ range. Surfing conditions were clean and smooth with the wind predominately coming out of the East up to 10knot in strength. The Main Peak was producing some nice tube rides but I have to admit it was a bit of a circus down there today and a lot of the *surfers that were in the water should have been learning to surf along the beach breaks. My crowd count went past 80 surfers spread out between the Main Peak and Temple sections. Temple’s by the way was also producing some long walls and round barrels for the 20+ crew riding down there.
Riding home past Padang padang and Impossible’s there were a few 2-3ft lines peeling down the reef towards Bingin but noting breaking on Padang Padang. And I’m sure Balangan would have also had some waves in the 2-3ft+ range as well.
Weather wise we started the day off here in Tuban with some light showers before the Tradewind started up and cleared things up. But then while I was down at Uluwatu we had some heavy showers again around 10.00am. Currently now at 1.30pm it’s back to blue sky and sunshine.
More to come dept; I also managed to shoot another batch of photos for the bodyboarder crew and I’ll get them on-line later this afternoon. Scotto was also in the water shooting down at Uluwatu and You’ll find his work in our Readers Report page when he delivers them. No long boarders at Uluwatu today.
Ok folks thats it for now but stay tuned cause it ain’t over till the fat lady sings !
Best Regards from Bali
