****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Good morning to all you surfers tuning into the baliwaves today for the latest info on sufing and weather conditions from here in Bali. And it’s a good looking day coming on for all the lucky surf starved crew here on vacation.
This mornings 6.45am surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to be a very consistent 2-4ft between Kuta Reef and Airport Left and looking like the swell direction has swung a bit more to the West. Kuta Reef already had around 20+ surfers in the line-up, and for good reason. chest to head high plus waves wrapping along the reef and looking very consistent. Middle Reef also had her fair share of riders out there with wave height slightly bigger in the head to head high plus sector. With the swell direction more from the West Airport left wasn’t collecting as much swell as KR or MR but still breaking in the waist to chest high plus range and 15+ surfers out there.
Down South on the Bukit I’d imagine that this morning you’d also be finding some nice waves down at Balangan in the 2-4ft range. Further South at Uluwatu the Main Peak and Temple sections would be a more solid double head high. Later this afternoon as the tide runs out you’d find Bingin producing some cylindrical chest to head high plus caverns. And just across from Bingin to the left the bottom end of Impossible’s Reef would have a few lines bending in.
Wind direction was coming out of the ENE @ 4-7knot and pretty much straight off-shore here along Bali’s premier West Coast.
Our daily sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp reads like this, wave height has kicked this morning with double to double head high plus waves hitting Kongs and Money Tree’s. Surfing conditions at 7.30am were clean and glassy and should only improve through out the day. One surfer in the water at the time of this report. But crowds have been reaching up to 15 surfers in the water by mid morning.
Tidal Info for today says we’ll have a 1.9mtr High @ 8.00am and then running out for a 0.8mtr Low around 2.00pm.
Weather wise today here in Tuban we have a beauty coming on with blue sky and sunshine. Heading for a top temperature of around 31 degree’s on the Celsius scale with the water temp a very pleasant 23 degree’s Celsius.
Ok crew stay tuned as the forecasters are calling for this current new swell to jump from a 15 second period up to a solid 18 seconds by tomorrow morning. Have a good one and if you want some surf sun and fun you better get over here to Bali.
Cheers
Slim
I am wondering what the deal is with the board racks on mopeds, i recently read a post about them being banned in bali. Whats the story on this? is it just a rumor? Thanks
Hey Billy, well you certainly never read about it here on baliwaves.com ? but as far as I know I’ve got guests staying here with me in Bali and they are using bikes with racks to get around on. And if I recall the car park down at Uluwatu was also full of bikes with board racks… ???
pretty sure i read it on here, someone mentioned it a few weeks back. thanks for the reply.
