Still waiting… / 3rd April ’09

****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Off to a late start this morning so my first surf check of the Outer Reefs never went down until 9.00am. I was also a bit dissapointed to see wave height still in the micro size between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. There wasn’t any surfers in the line-up at Kuta Reef as wave height was only in the half to 1 ft range, but if you were Tom Thumb you would have been laughing. Perfect little waves peeling and peeling. Middle Reef had 2 surfers in the water at the time. Not much breaking between the set waves but surfable at waist to waist high plus when they did come through. Looking down to Airport Left there was roughly a dozen surfers in the water and pretty much the same as Middle’s, nothing between the set waves, and then waist high when they did.

Surfing conditions are absolutely perfect with the wind coming out of the East @ 6-10knot blowing straight off-shore from Kuta and Uluwatu.

Tidal info; we had a 1.0mtr Low @ 9.00am and then she’ll be running back up for a 2.0mtr High around 3.00pm

Looking for a wave today, well I’m still hoping for the predicted boost in wave height to arrive so I can grab a quick wave out the front. But for now Uluwatu would be the best place to look for any kind of power or size. Canggu and Keramas might have had a few through the early am before the Tradewind kicked in. And later this afternoon the beach breaks along the Kuta to Legian stretch will have a few smallies.

Weather wise. blue sky, sunshine with an expected top temperature of around 33 degree’s celsius.

Up-dates; A big thanks you to our man Scotto for making the run up to Canggu yesterday and snapping off some photos from the water. Plus I should have around 160 photos loaded into our Surfing Gallery by the end of the day.
