****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE****
Howdy crew and thanks for waiting around for me to get back to Home Base with the latest photos and surf info to come out of Bali.
This mornings surf check of the Outer reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height still hanging around in the 2-2ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport left. And there was a few little ones breaking on all sections. No wind to start th day off and as ya’s can probably tell by looking at the current photos if anything as the morning progressed the wind shifted more to the S-SW and light on-shore.
We arrived down at Uluwatu this morning around 9.00am to find wave height hitting the main Peak in the 2-3ft+ class and once again another solid crowd out there competing for them. At the peak of the crowd I counted 80 surfers spread out between the Temple and Racetrack sections. I’d have to say Uluwatu was pretty ordinary wave wise today but still there were plenty of waves coming through.
Tidal info; first up this morning we had a 0.4mtr Low @ 6.00am and then a solid 2.7mtr High through midday and before the daylight is done we’ll see another reef exposing 0.1mtr Low around 6.00pm.
Hopefully through out the next 48hr period we’ll see a little bit more swell hitting the reefs around Bali and maybe help spread the crowds out a bit more.
Weather wise today it’s been mainly hot and humid with 70% cloud cover with a maximum temperature of around 29 degree’s Celsius.
I’d also just like to mention that the Dewi Sri “live seafood” restaurant here in Tuban is once again under the control of the original owner and back to serving up the most freshest seafood in Bali. If you want to give it a try tell em baliwaves.com sent ya down to sample a free plate of their live prawns.
Ok crew I gotta go cool off so have a good one and tune back in tomorrow for the latest on surf and weather info from your No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali.
back soon
