****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
G’Day folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com for the complete picture on todays surfing and weather conditions on the happy little holiday island of Bali.
This mornings 7.00am surf recon of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to have increased a half a foot or so and showing in the 1-2ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. And at the time there were even half a dozen surfers sitting on Kuta Reef catching some small but perfectly shaped waves in the knee to waist high range.
Surfing conditions through the morning were clean and glassy but as the morning crept on the wind swung further around to the WSW and thats where she stayed all day reach up to 10knots in strength.
The boys and I from here at Home Base decided that the only place we were going to see anything bigger than waist high was down at Uluwatu and thats where we went. Ariving around 10.00am to find wave surfing conditions fairly clean and 2-3ft sets hitting the Main Peak. Far from being your classic Ulu surf there was still the odd wave and only 20 surfers in the water. But as the tide filled in after midday surfing conditions and the waves rapidly deteriorated so it was time to head back to Home Base for a little airconditioned comfort.
Weather wise today we’ve had nothing but blue sky and sunshine with a top temperature of around 34 degree’s.
Ok that’s me for today but hopefully we’ll soon see a return back to Bali class waves in the very near future, so stay tuned to the one and only original Bali surf report website ok.
