****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves.com, your eyes on the waves here on the No.1 surfing holiday destination for surfers and sun worshippers, Bali.
This mornings 7.00am surf check on the Outer reefs here in laid back Tuban was showing a nice little increase in wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Kuta Reef had 15+ surfers in the water looking at waves breaking in the wait to chest high range. KR should also improve as the tide passes through the bottom of the Low and starts to run back in. Middle Reef was breaking nicely in the shoulder to head high plus class with 7 surfers on it. While down at Airport Left wave height was showing in the waist to head high region and more like 20 surfers already out the there. Airports should also improve with an incoming tide.
Surfing conditions were clean enough with the wind coming out of the NNE @ 3-6knot. But we can expect a further shift in direction anytime between now and mid morning around to the ESE-SE.
Tidal info, we have a 0.9mtr Low @ 8.00am and then a High of 2.2mtrs set for 2.00pm
Looking for a wave today it should start getting much easier than the previous few of smaller sized waves. As mentioned there’s a fairly good selection of waves happening here on the Outer Reefs. Canggu would be one of the better locations this morning before the off-shore wind kicks in. Down on the Bukit you could join the hip new crew at Balangan and probably find waves up to head high. Bingin might have a 2 footer or two breaking. And of-course Uluwatu would be picking up the most swell around the island.
Up-dates; The good guys from the Macaroni Surf Resort in the Mentawai Islands have sent us through some photos of some very sick looking waves along with a report of whats been happening up in their part of Indonesia. You can find Mark’s surf report on the Macaroni surf report page.
Weather wise we have some light cloud cover but that should burn off for just another hot and sunny day in Bali.
Ok folks thats me for this morning, but make sure ya stay tuned into the baliwaves.com through the weekend as we are expecting some good waves and we’ll keep ya’s covered all through it.
Have a good one
