26th May 09
Hi crew sorry I didn’t get a chance to type up a full report for the 26th but it was like this. Kuta Reef to Airports were down in the 2-2ft+ range but still a few nice waves breaking on Airport Left. These latest photos I’ve included were shot down at Uluwatu on the 25th, courtesy of our friends at Hendra Surf Photography. I’ll give ya’s the full run down plus more photos a bit later on this morning when I get back from Uluwatu.
Hang in there

Booties – Bali Boots – Reef Hoppers, Do I really need them ? Im coming to bali for the 1st time so I dont really know. Some mates so yes some say no but most of the photos you have show guys without them. I plan on surfing all the famous reefs, waves permitting. I will be there on a honeymoon, amazing what you gota do to convince your girlfriend we need a holiday in bali. Any info would be great.
I would say take you booties. You mentioned that you would like to surf all the reef breaks so chances are you are going to need them. Very handy for getting out on the lower tide or getting back in for that matter. Depends on where you surf. I slashed my foot at airports on the first day I was there years back and my foot go so infected and I couldn’t surf for the last week of my trip. You can always buy them over there if you need too.
Enjoy.
i got cut at impossibles a few years back and went to some hot springs near lovina…the sulphur content in the water cleaned up the wounds and it seemed to heal rather quickly…also theres some chinese medicine called ‘tieh ta yao gin’…this is superb for disinfecting cuts and healing the skin…
Hi coming over mid July do you need booties to surf Kuta Reefs or will you get away natural. ??
Kuta Reef to Airport left are fine as long as you are aware of the tide
Gumboot’s and a good yellow rain coat is a must out Kuta reef.
