****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
G’Day crew and welcome aboard the baliwaves.com surf and weather report machine for the latest news on Bali’s waves and weather.
First up this mornings surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban was showing a solid drop in wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Now way down in the 1-1ft+ range. Nothing really surfable out there this morning and to top it off the wind direction was on-shore coming out of the WNW @ 2-5knot.
The crew and I from Home Base made our way back down to Uluwatu hoping to find some remnants of yesterdays perfection, but not too be. On arrival wave height was hitting the Main Peak and Racetrack sections in the 2-3ft+ range and relatively clean with the wind still coming lightly out of the WNW. We were hoping that as the tide started to run back in conditions might improve, but not too be. Wave height if anything remained in that chest to head high plus sector with the wind steadily increasing on-shore. We stuck it out until midday before calling it a day and by this time there would have been at least 70+ surfers spread between the Temple and Main Peak. I did take around 50 photos today but I’m going to leave yesterdays on line instead.
Driving back home past Padang Padang and Impossible’s there was barely a 1ft ripple hitting the very top end of Impossible’s. Nothing at all breaking on Padang Padang as can be expected. But the surf school crew were sure in control of Impossible’s with at least 25 learners in the water.
Tidal info for today was calling for a 0.8mtr Low @ 7.30am and then a High of 2.2mtrs @ 2.00pm
Weather wise today we’ve had more hot and sunny conditions around Bali with a top temperature of around 30 degree’s Celsius.
I finally got around to loading the body boarding photos I shot yesterday into their respective place and if your into it make sure ya check out some slick tube riding.
