****MORNING SURF REPORT****
G’Day folks and welcome back to your baliwaves and the latest news on surfing and weather conditions here on the holiday island of Bali. And Hendra and his surf photo team down at Uluwatu have provided us with another photographic view on the waves down on Bali’s premier surfing location once again.
This mornings 8.00am surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing another decrease in wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left with only 1-2 footers breaking while the tide was just starting to run back in. And when the tide does peak for an expected 2.5mtr High around midday it’ll be pretty much flat city on the Outers. For now Airport Left was the only section with a half decent wave, but with at least 35+ crew on it.
Best bet for a wave today is going to be down on the southern end of the island at Uluwatu when your going to still be able to find some 2-4 footers (re-swell forecast).
Surfing conditions this morning couldn’t be better with the off-shore ESE-SE Tradewind kicking in around 8.30am.
Weather wise, more of the best with blue sky and sunshine setting the scene for another grat day along the beach. Heading for a top temperature of around 32 degree’s Celsius, while the water temp is still perfect @ 23 degree’s Celsius..
Swell Forecast; Ok so the charts are saying that wave height should hold through today and maybe even pick up another foot or so through out this afternoon. Monday see’s wave height backing off a touch and holding through Tuesday in the 3-5ft range depending on location. Wednesday see’s wave height dropping back into the 2-4ft+ class through till Thursday evening when we should see another solid swell gracing the reefs around Bali pushing wave height back into the 6-8ft+ peg and hopefully another round of Padang Padang for Friday. Saturday wave height falling back into the 4-6ft range, then Sunday smaller again. But just on the edge of the radar there’s another system moving up the Indian Ocean arriving around Tuesday week. So get ready or start booking your flights to Bali.
Traffic Up-date; Well it’s that time of the year over here in Indonesia with the national school holidays underway and just about every car owner from Java has driven it across to Bali. So if your planning on staying in the Kuta / Legian & Seminyak area’s get ready for some traffic grid locks.
Gallery Up-Date, I managed to start loading up our July Gallery yesterday and you should be able to find over 250 photos of the best from this month, and still more to come !
Ok crew thats about me for this morning but make sure ya stay tuned to us as we’ll be keeping you covered with all the latest surf and weather info all through the weekend.
Best Regards from Bali
