****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello friends and thanks for tuning into the baliwaves.com for the news on whats happening each day surf and weather wise here on the holiday capital of the World, Bali.
Well this mornings surf recon of the Outer Reefs went down at 8.00am and I’m afraid things are not looking good surfwise. It’s another ground hog day between Kuta Reef and Airport Left with only 1-1ft+ showing. But all the same there are plenty of takers in the water on Airport left chasing the ellusive waist high sets. Nothing breaking on Kuta Reef and as the tide fills in for a 2.4mtr High set for 1.00pm it’s going to be lake city right across the board.
Surfing conditions are clean enough but with the wind still coming out of the on-shore WNW sector. We can expect the ESE off-shore Tradewind to kick in anytime soon though.
Looking for a wave today there would be a few 1-1ft+ waves up along the beach breaks of Kuta / Legian around late morning. Otherwise if your really keen you could try down at Uluwatu for some 1-2ft+ action.
Weather wise it’s clear sailing with nothing but blue sky and heading for a top temperature of around 33 degree’s Celsius. Water temperature is great for a dip at 24 degree’s Celsius.
Swell Forecast; Ok so the short range situation is looking a bit crook with only waist to head high waves, depending on location over the next 3-4 days. But looking a bit deeper the charts are calling for a very moderate sized swell to start showing on our reefs around late Monday early Tuesday. This one should push wave height into the 6-8ft+ range through Tuesday and Wednesday before backing off. Slightly bigger again off East Java in the G-land region of Indonesia.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that — 1US$=Rp10,050 — 1AU$=Rp8,075 —
Contest news and the next major event scheduled for the ISC will be held by Rip Curl and going down on the island of Sumbawa at the famous Scar Reef. I think the waiting period for waves to arrives commences around the 17th of June. Check the latest news on the ISC’s website via their link on baliwaves.com.
Ok thats about us for today, but thanks to Hendra and his Surf Photography Team down at Uluwatu for these latest photos. Tomorrow I won’t be posting a report as I’ll be heading up into the mountains to visit the in-laws and attend a teeth filing ceremony at our village. Then dropping into the Datah Primary School to say hello to the kids and staff. So anyway have a good one what ever you got going today and we’ll be back again on Sunday with more Bali surf and weather reports.
Best Regards from Bali
