Uluwatu 31st May ’09
Well with not much in the way of swell I made the decision to head down to Uluwatu for a couple of hours. I arrived about 7:15am and was in the water a little before 7:30am. Conditions were not the best with waves only in the waist high plus range. The tide was on the way out still so I am sure that things were going to be improving when it started its push back in.
The was only 15 surfers in the water when I got in, but by the time I made back into the warung at 9:30am I counted around 60+ spread between temples and the racetrack. There was good reason for this as the waves were just starting to pulse and there was some nice waves starting to hit the peak.
I’m sure that things would have gotten even better until the tide was too high but I had a shedule and had to head back. The grommets were ruling and everyone was catching some fun little waves.
So until next time.
Scott.
