****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Good morning surfers and thanks for taking the time out to stop by the baliwaves.com for the latest info on whats happening surf and weather wise here on the holiday island of Bali. These latest photos we have today are courtesy of Hendra Surfing Photography from down at Uluwatu.
Ok this mornings surf recon on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to be still only coming through in the 1-2ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport left. That was around 7.00am as the tide was just coming off the bottom of the Low, so Middle Reef was the only surfable section of reef. With Kuta Reef and Airport Left needing more water over the reef. There were already a couple of surfers on Middle’s and there were some fun sized set waves around waist to chest high. But come midday and the top of the tide there won’t be too much left to surf.
Surfing conditions are once again testy with the ESE-SE off-shore Tradewind gusting into the 15-18knot range.
Tidal info for today says we had a 0.5mtr Low @ 6.00am and then she’ll be running back in for a reef smoothering 2.4mtr High around midday.
Looking for a wave today, for the reef junkies Uluwatu will be producing the best waves along Bali’s West Coast. The beach breaks up along Kuta to Legian should have something to get wet on around midday.
Our sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp says that wave height is down into the head to head high plus range this morning. Clean off-shore wind and at the time of the report there were only 4 surfers in the water on Kong’s. We’ve also had another batch of photos arrive from camp and we’ll have them on line for ya’s in a tick. You’ll also find a stack of new photos on their website at www.g-landsurfcamp.com
G-land; Ok the 10% discount for the early bookings into the G-Land Surf Camp has finished but I’ve spoken with the boss and he’s still prepared to give anyone who mentions baliwaves.com a 5% discount on standard, twin share and fan bungalows and a 10% discount on their air conditioned bungalows. Just mention baliwaves.com at their office and you’ll get money back in your pocket.
And don’t forget to drop me a line if your looking for some surfer friendly accommodation here in Tuban / Bali (the quiter end of town). Right here at Home Base we have single rooms for US$15.00, US$18.00 for couple’s & US$25.00 for a twin share room. All rooms have Air conditioning, hot and cold water, tv, refridgerator and large private bathroom. 300mtrs back from the beach in fron of the Outer reefs here in Tuban.
Ok folks thats about us for this morning but call in again tomorrow for our Sunday Session as we hoping on a small bump in wave height tomorrow.
Best Regards from Bali
Slim
