**** MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE****
Hello to all you surfers tuning into the baliwaves for your daily up date on todays surfing and weather conditions from here on the surfing holiday destination of Bali.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was pretty well much the same as what we had yesterday. 1-2f footers with the very occassional slightly bigger set wave breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport left. At the time I was down on the beach the tide was still pretty high but I’d say that Middle Reef should at least have a few waist to chest high waves towards the lower end of the tide. Just off the top of my head, hopefully we’ll see a slight pulse and increase in wave height over the weekend.
Surfing conditions out there were clean and tidy with the ESE-SE Tradewind providing off-shore wind between Kuta and Uluwatu. Currently gusting into the 10-13knot class.
Tidal info for today has a 2.2mtr High @ 10.00AM and then running out for a 0.3mtr Low around the 4.00PM mark. Today also marks a New Moon rising.
Weather wise, another hot and sunny day along the beach heading for a top temperature of around 30 degree’s Celsius.
Changing dollars to Rupiah along the streets of Kuta you’ll find that — 1AU$=Rp8,350 — 1US$=Rp9,600. Give or take 50 Rupiah.
Photo up-date; Yesterday we loaded up reports from the Kandui and Macaroni’s Surf resorts up in the Mentawai islands along with a whole bunch of body boarding photos. So if you haven’t already checked em out, do so !
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$15.00 per night (single) or US$18.00 for a couple and US$25.00 twin share. Then drop me an email but usually we do need a few weeks notice.
G-Land we are offering you a 5% discount on all standard packages and 10% on air conditioned packages at the G-Land Surf Camp. And from all report’s I’ve heard of late, right now is an ideal time to get over there and score some un-crowded waves
We are also now sending out brief random surf reports and ravings through Twitter mobile phone service so sign up today !
Ok folks just a quicky, but stay tuned over the weekend as we’ll keep theĀ reports and pics flowing.
Best Regards from the No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali
