****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
G’Day Folks, and a big welcome back to Hendra and his Photographic Team down at Uluwatu after their well deserved 4 day holiday. And anothherĀ thank you to all our viewers tuning into the baliwaves for todays run down on surfing and weather conditions here on the No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Well this mornings 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing pretty much the same sized waves as what we had yesterday, 1-2ft+ between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was way out at the time and a lot of exposed reef in view so Middle Reef was once again the only option for a paddle. There were a few surfers already out there with wave height breaking in the waist to chest high range. Not much at all showing on Kuta Reef or Airport Left so when the tide fills back in I don’t think there’s going to be too much happening on the Outer’s. Probably your best bet for a paddle would be to wait for the tide and have a look up along the beach breaks. Looking for a little bit better size and power then Uluwatu would be your best bet.
Surfing conditions were clean and glassy at the time with the wind coming lightly out of the North @ 1-2knot.
Tidal Info for today is calling for a 0.3mtr Low @ 8.00AM and then running back in for a 1.8mtr High around the 2.PM mark.
Weather wise and this morning we have a return to blue sky and sunshine, heading for a maximum temperature of at least 31 degree’s Celsius.
Swell Forecast; What the forecasters are predicting is for wave height to slowly back off through Wednesday and Thursday. Sometime on Friday we will see the start of a new swell that will peak on Saturday in the 17ft (face) range. Holding through Sunday before slowly backing off on Monday / Tuesday.
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$15.00 per night (single) or US$18.00 for a couple and US$25.00 twin share. Then drop me an email but usually we do need a few weeks notice.
G-Land we are offering you a 5% discount on all standard packages and 10% on air conditioned packages at the G-Land Surf Camp. And from all report’s I’ve heard of late, right now is an ideal time to get over there and score some un-crowded waves
We are also now sending out brief random surf reports and ravings through Twitter mobile phone service so sign up today !
Photo up-date; the boys from the Kandui Surf Resort have also sent us through some new photos and a quick up-date on what’s been happening in their neck of the woods.
Ok so small waves again for today but fingers crossed and lets hope the forecasters have it down right for a solid inccrease in wave size starting some time in the next 24-36hrs.
Have a good one and we’ll be back again tomorrow with the latest news on Bali’s surfing conditions.
Catch ya later
