****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello to everyone tuning into the baliwaves.com for the start of another surfing week here on the No.1 surfing holiday island destination of Bali. And a big thank you to Hendra and his Photographic Team down at Uluwatu for todays photos.
This mornings 8.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing wave height to have taken a beating over night, dropping down into the 1-2ft+ range between Kuta reef and Airport Left. Conditions weren’t all that bad at the time with a few little waist to chest high waves on Kuta reef and Airports while the tide was in. But now at 10.30AM the wind has gone from a light 1-3knot North Westerly around to a 7-10knot straight on-shore Westerly. While I was out in my little traditional double outrigger boat dragging some lure’s around late yesterday afternoon I couldn’t help but notice some nice waves peeling down the reef at Balangan. Easily over head in size and only around 10 surfers in the water.
Tidal info for today is saying we have a 0.8mtr @ 10.30AM and then a measley little 1.4mtr High @ 5.00PM
Looking for a wave today your going to find the best waves / conditions over on the East Coast. Nyang Nyang’s to Green Bowls for the less crowds would be worth a look. Nusa Dua should have the best size and power. Or you could take a run further up the coast to keramas.
Weather wise you couldn’t fault it really (except for the wind direction), plenty of blue sky for the beach lovers. Heading a top temperature of around 33 degree’s Celsius.
Swell forecast; Well at this point in time I think we will be seeing wave height dying off over Tuesday and Wednesday. Then hopefully on Thursday we’ll see our next swell arrive, this one should provide some waves through Friday and into Saturday.
Sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp was saying that wave height over at G-land this morning was still holding in the 3-4ft+ sector. Only 5 surfers in the water on Money Tree’s at 8.30AM.
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$15.00 (Rp150,000) per night (single) or US$18.00 (Rp180,000) for a couple and US$25.00 (Rp250,000) twin share. Then drop me an email but usually we do need a few weeks notice.
G-Land we are offering you a 5% discount on all standard packages and 10% on air conditioned packages at the G-Land Surf Camp. And from all report’s I’ve heard of late, right now is an ideal time to get over there and score some un-crowded waves
We are also now sending out brief random surf reports and ravings through Twitter mobile phone service so sign up today !
Ok folks have a good one and stay tuned to the original Bali surf report website if you wanna know whats happening surf and weather wise here in Bali
