****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for waiting around for todays news on surfing and weather conditions here on the holiday island of Bali.
Well last night the boys and I here at Home Base made a plan to head up the coast to Balian, seeing as though wave height was rapidly dropping off and not much expected for today. So by 5.15Am we were on the highway, then pulling into the car park by 7.00AM to find wave height hitting the river mouth A frame in the head to well over head high range. There would have been around 20 surfers already in the water, but still a relatively small crew for the very popular location. Surfing conditions were clean with a light off-shore Northerly wind that held through until 10.00AM before turning light cross / on shore. By this time there would have been lucky to have been 10 surfers left in the water. I was surprised to see such a small amount of surfers up there today, and I think we will be seeing lower numbers in the water at all locations from here on in.
Wave height here on the Outer Reefs was only just lucky to be showing in the 1-2ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left
Tidal info for today had a 1.7mtr High @ 8.00AM and then a 0.7mtr Low around 2.00PM.
Weather wise we another hot and sunny day with a top temperature of around 32 degree’s Celsius.
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$15.00 (Rp150,000) per night (single) or US$18.00 (Rp180,000) for a couple and US$25.00 (Rp250,000) twin share. Then drop me an email but usually we do need a few weeks notice.
G-Land we are offering you a 5% discount on all standard packages and 10% on air conditioned packages at the G-Land Surf Camp. And from all report’s I’ve heard of late, right now is an ideal time to get over there and score some un-crowded waves

Ok crew just a quick one cause I’m beat from the drive today, but I’ve also loaded a bunch of photos taken at Uluwatu into our Readers Report page courtesy from Hendra Surf Photography.

Looks like you made a good call with Balian Slim.
Great shape on shots 1,2, and 8.
cheers, Doc
Only a few years ago you had to find a friend to go here so you had a buddy to surf with. Now it’s maxed out with crowds, and yeah it may be less than the Gold coast or Malibu, but it’s a ton of people for here, especially when most people think they are surfing for Mag photos.
Oh well..
don’t complain your one of the crowd!
there are heaps of uncrowded waves still in bali! you just have to be prepared to surf without a buddy!
just for the record ,The goldy ain,t nothing like nowhere in bloody america!
Nick your a spoon. Malibu kicks arse over the goldy.
Ha ha ha Nick, you got it all wrong “buddy” we were stoked !!!
