****AFTERNOON SURF REPORT****
G’Day folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com for todays news on surfing and weather conditions here on the first choice surfing holiday island of Bali. Thanks to hendra and his Team down at Uluwatu for these current batch of photos.
I was down on the beach at 6.30AM this morning to find wave height still only breaking in the 1-2ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Too small on Kuta Reef at knee to knee high plus. Middle Reef had half a dozen surfers on it with wave height in the waist to chest high plus class. While Airport Left had at least 20 surfers in the water with wave height showing in the waist to chest high class.
I also had a look at all the other reef breaks down the coast to Uluwatu. Balangan had around 25 surfers in the water with waves in the knee to waist high plus sector. Dreamland was virtually breaking onto the sand, Bingin was also too small. Nothing happening at Impossible’s or Padang Padang. Uluwatu had the most size and power that I saw today with wave height in the chest to head high plus class.
Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the wind coming out of the ESE-SE @ 5-10knot, blowing off-shore between Kuta and Uluwatu.
Tidal info for today had a 2.2mtr High @ 10.00AM and then a reef exposing 0.3mtr Low around the 4.30PM mark.
Weather wise here on Bali we’ve had another hot and sunny day around the beach with the temperature topping out at 29 degree’s Celsius.
Sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp was saying that wave height had also backed off over at G-land but still breaking in the head to head high plus sector on Kongs. At the time of the report there was a total of 5 surfers in the water.
If it’s clean safe and friendly accommodation here in Tuban only 300mtrs back from the Outer Reefs, including A/C, hot water, refridgerator & TV for US$15.00 (Rp150,000) per night (single) or US$18.00 (Rp180,000) for a couple and US$25.00 (Rp250,000) twin share. Then drop me an email but usually we do need a few weeks notice.
G-Land we are offering you a 5% discount on all standard packages and 10% on air conditioned packages at the G-Land Surf Camp. And from all report’s I’ve heard of late, right now is an ideal time to get over there and score some un-crowded waves
We are also now sending out brief random surf reports and ravings through Twitter mobile phone service so sign up today !
Ok crew that’s me for now but I’ll be back again tomorrow afternoon with more news on surfing and weather conditions.
Best Regards from Bali.
