****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE****
Hi crew and welcome back to todays baliwaves.com run down on surfing and weather conditions here on the happy little surfing holiday island of Bali.
This mornings 6.30am surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to have backed off the slightest. But still coming through in the shoulder to head to occassionally over head high range, between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The tide was still on the way out so the best location was happening at Middle Reef. Middle’s was also picking up the lions share of the swell. There were already half a dozen other early risers in the line up on Middle Reef. And some nice peeling left handers for the effort.
Surfing conditions were reasonably clean with the wind coming lightly out of the North @ 2-4knot. But was slowly swinging around to the West and then South West by 9.30am. Around 10.00am we were smashed by a heavy rain storm that blew in out of the South which came down hard for a solid 45 mins. As soon as the rain started to ease up the wind switched back to the SSE and a return of clean off-shore wind for another hour. Before settling back into the WSW quadrant by midday.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 0.4mtr Low @ 8.00am and then she’ll be running back in for a 2.4mtr High around 2.00pm.
Weather wise we’ve had a mixed bag so far today. Early morning rain which had cleared up by 7.00am to leave a mainly blue sky. Then more heavy rain through mid morning, now @ 1.00pm the sun is back out and powering up for a very hot and humid afternoon.
Tomorrow looks like a better day swell wise, so tune in for our Sunday Session if ya get some time.
Kuta area traffic up-date, for some reason the Kuta area has been solid traffic jam city every afternoon so if your going to be staying in the area prepare yourself for it.
