****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello crew and welcome to our Sunday Session on the baliwaves, for the latest surfing and weather info not too mention all the other stuff we’ve got for you. Directly from the surfers choice holiday destination of Bali. And I’d also like to give the baliwaves a pat on the back for having loaded over 500 quality photos on the site through the month of March. I don’t think you’d get that in any, for sale once a month surfing magazine. Speaking of magazines, it won’t be long and they’ll all be doing their “special Indo issue” but we already know how good it is over here, don’t we.
This morning’s 7.00am surf check on the Outer Reefs here in the laid back surfing and fishing town of Tuban was showing that wave height has well and truelly backed off. Not a great deal happening between Kuta Reef and Airport Left with only 1-2ft, or knee to waist high plus waves. These current photos we have for you today were taken down at Uluwatu yesterday by our good friends at Hendra Surf Photography. So for me anyway I’ll be taking full advantage of the smaller waves today and calling a “lay day”. But for those on the wave hunt I’d be heading down south to Uluwatu. There’s always a little more power and size at Bali’s Premier surfing location.
Surfing conditions this morning were clean as a whistle, only a very light off-shore ESE breeze at around 1knot.
Tidal info for today has a 2.0mtr High @ 9.00am and then running out for a 0.7mtr Low around the 3.30pm mark. Tomorrow and we have a Full Moon rising so get ready for some big tidal ranges, just in time for our next swell that should start to show this Tuesday.
Weather wise we have an overcast start to the day but I’m sure we’ll be in for another very hot one by midday.
Swell prediction for the next 7 days is looking like wave height may improve a touch towards later this afternoon and into tomorrow. Well, bigger than today anyway. Then Tuesday we should see the start of a nice looking building moderate swell that will peak on Wednesday. Then backing off fairly quickly through Thursday, and not leaving too much behind for Friday. Saturday should bring another smaller spike in wave height. So it’s looking pretty good for the coming week.
