****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello folks and welcome back to your baliwaves for todays look at surfing and weather conditions here on the happy little holiday island of Bali.
Sorry about no news yesterday but I had to drop my family up to our mountain side village and didn’t get back home till late. Anyway this mornings 6.30am surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban wasn’t looking to prosperous in the way of waves. Only showing at 1-1ft+ between Kuta Reef and Airport Left with the wind already coming out of the WNW @ 5-7knot.
So as it shows in today photos I shot, the boys and I opted for uncrowded but on-shore waves at Uluwatu. And as it ended up it was a pretty good choice as the wind did swing off-shore out of the SSE for a good hour or so. Wave height down at Uluwatu was mainly coming through in the 2-3ft range but with a 4 foot freak set every now and again. Crowd wise there woulda only been around 15-20 surfers riding the Main Peak and 2 lone riders from Bondi up on Temple’s. Coming home past Padang Padang and Impossible’s there was barely a ripple breaking on either,
Tidal info for today had us down for a 0.1mtr Low @ 6.00am and then filling back in with a solid 2.5mtr High at 12 noon.
Weather wise around Bali today we’ve had a mainly sunny day with the odd patch of cloud drifting over and a top temperature of at least 33 degree’s Celsius.
I’ll hunt up the Dollar to Rupiah conversions for ya’s in tomorrows report. But it’ll be a bit late as the “crew” and I have a little road trip penciled in first.
