****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com for todays run down on surfing and weather conditions here on the happy little holiday island of Bali.
This morning we didn’t take the surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban, but we shoulda. We were just running off the adrenalin of what the swell charts were saying and drove straight for Padang Padang. The tide was just coming off the bottom of a 0.8mtr Low but the new swell didn’t really kick in as hoped for. Wave height at Padang Padang was only showing in the 3-4ft range (head to over head) on the sets. Impossible’s had some head to over head high waves peeling down the reef but your chances of out running them were looking pretty Impossible. Further down at Bingin we could see a group of around 15 surfers with chest to over head sets. Our old friend Scott was down there swimming around with his camera and dropped off some photos for us (ASAP…)
So the boys decided on seeing what Uluwatu was doing and the chance of some more barrels. As ya’s can see in this 120 strong photo gallery I’ve thrown up for ya’s it was again tube city down at Uluwatu. Wave height was similar in size to Thursdays but a lot more cleaner. Crowd wise the Main Peak had between 18 – 35 and Temple’s only a handful of tube riding demons.
Surfing conditions were clean from start to finish today with the aid of a ESE – SE off-shore Tradewind gusting between 7 – 12knot.
Weather wise it was mainly sunny with the odd patch of cloud drifting over. Temperature wise it would have been around 31 degree’s Celsius we were.
