****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves.com for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the happy little holiday island of Bali.
Today’s 6.30am surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban was showing another decrease in wave height, only waist to chest high waves between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. But even so there was no shortage of surfers on all sections. Kuta Reef was peeling off perfect micro sized waves in the waist to waist high plus range with at least a dozen surfers on it. Middle Reef even though it was high tide had a solid crew of around 20+ riders with wave height slightly better in the waist to chest high plus division. Nothing much happening on Airport left.
As you can see in today’s photos I shot we took a ride down to Uluwatu to see if there was anything better on offer. And as ya’s can see there wasn’t. Wave height was slightly bigger again at waist to just over head high on the bigger set waves. But there would have had to have been 75 surfers in the water spread out between Temple’s and the Main Peak. When we first arrived surfing conditions were still pretty clean with the wind light on-shore out of the West. But conditions were deteriating as the tide got lower. Riding back past Padang Padang and Impossible’s there was a waist high wave rippling through Impossible’s with plenty of surfers scattered along the reef, Padang Padang was waveless.
Weather wise we had a few drops of Rain down on the Southern end of the island through the morning, with the odd patch of blue sky from time to time. Temperature wise it’s been warm and humid with the mercury peaking at 29 degree’s celsius.
Hopefully tomorrow if the swell forecasters have got it right we’ll see a new swell hitting the reefs here in Bali.
