****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the with out a doubt best value surfing holiday destination of Bali.
First up due to “technical difficulties” yesterday there wasn’t enough time in one 24hr day to do my afternoon up-date. So I’ll just let ya’s know now what went down surfwise along Bali’s South Western coastline first. Ok as I mentioned in the morning report wave height started off in the waist to over head range here on the Outer Reefs. But by the time we had the boat (traditional double outrigger) in the water wave height was on the increase, contrary to the swell forecasts. Pushing past Balangan wave height was hitting the point in the head to double head high class and there was at least 35+ surfers in the water. Just around the point at Dreamland wave height was more like chest to head high with 20+ surfers in. Bingin had a solid crew on the small take off zone with a perfect sized head to over head wave. Impossible’s had waves with 4 – 5ft backs sectioning off along the reef. Padang Padang even had a head high wave and few boogey boarders waiting for them. While down at Uluwatu our boat was pushing over some solid waves with 6ft+ backs on them.
This mornings 6.30am surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was without a doubt showing wave height to be fading out from yesterday. Between Kuta Reef and Airport Left there were really only any decent waves breaking on Middle Reef in the chest to head high class.
Surfing conditions at the time were once again pristine with only a light ESE – SE off-shore wind. But again it has been predicted to increase to around 15-20knot by early afternoon.
Tidal info for today has a 0.8mtr Low around 12.00noon and then running back in for a measley 1.4mtr High around 5.30pm.
Weather wise this morning it’s another good looking day coming on for the beach lovers here on vacation. Plenty of blue sky and sunshine, heading for a top temperature of between 30 – 32 degree’s Celsius.
Just for now here’s some photos that Ketut shot at Balangan yesterday. Plus we’ve got you another up-date from the Mentawai Islands courtesy of the Kandui Surf Resort.
