****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello friends and thanks for your patience with old Slim over the last few days, they have been pretty hectic and very amazing. A big Thank You for all the well wishes I’ve had from friends all around the World, Stoked crew !
But all the same I do know you lot are craven for more photos and surf info so, lets get it on ! No surf check on the Outer Reefs this morning we headed straight down to Balangan after receiving some intel that it was pretty good down there on the previous.
We arrived on location around 8.45am to find 8 surfers in the water spread between the point and middle section. Wave height as you can see in the photos I shot was ranging between head high to the occasional double head high plus set wave. We hung out down there until 2.00pm and still there was only 15 – 20 surfers spread through the line up when we left. And as usual the optical along the beach was as good as ever !
Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the wind coming out of the ESE – SE at 10 – 15knot. Straight off-shore wind between Kuta and Uluwatu.
Tidal info for today had us down with a 0.3mtr Low @ 7.00am and then running back in for a 2.3mtr High around 1.00pm
Weather wise we have had a mainly hot and sunny day with the odd patch of cloud. Temperature wise it would have peaked around the 32 degree Celsius mark.
I’ve also loaded a heap of photos from our friends at Hendra Surf Photography into our Readers Report page. Featuring Uluwatu and Padang Padang on the 13th of August.
Sms surf report from the boys at the G-Land Surf Camp was calling wave height to be hitting Kongs and Money Tree’s in the double head to double head high plus range. Clean conditions and only 1 surfer in the water at 7.30am
Sms surf report from Lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa was calling wave height to be hitting Lakey Peak in the head to over head range. With a total of around 150+ surfers currently visiting the area.
