This morning we didn’t bother with a surf check on the Outer Reefs as wave height yesterday afternoon was fading out fast. Instead we decided on taking a run down to Balangan on the southern end of the island and see what was happening down there. We did know that at least if there wasn’t any waves the view along the beach would be spectacular as always.

Wave height down at Balangan was only coming through in the waist to chest high region for the most of it, with the very very occasional freak set pushing head high. On arrival there were only 10 surfers in the water and by the time we left with the tide starting to run back in grew to around 25 surfers.

Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the off-shore wind coming out of the ESE – SE with gusts of up to 15knot+

Tidal info for today said we had a High of 1.9mtrs @ 6.00am and then dropping out for a 0.8mtr Low around the 1.00pm mark.

Weather wise we had a mixed grill of cloud cover and sunshine, temperature wise the mercury would have peaked in the low 30’s on the Celsius scale.

Ok surfers just a quick one today as the boys want to go and grab a bintang or three and chow down some sushimi. But we’ll be keeping ya’s all covered through out the weekend with the latest news on surf and weather from here on the real surfer’s paradise island of Bali.
