Hi crew and yeah, thanks for waiting around for yesterdays text report. Hey but at least I was good enough to get these 55 new photos on line for ya’s last night. Ya see we never made the trek down to Bingin until around 1.00PM yesterday, waiting for the tide to get lower. By the time we finished what we had to do down there and then get back home it was getting close to 7.00PM. Add an hour for a tub and a feed, then another hour and a half to transfer, select and edit the photos. My day, after a 4.30AM start was just about done !
Anyway TMI ? So as we can clearly see in this new gallery from Bingin wave height was still coming through in a very consistent 2 – 4ft or chest to well over head. Even though the wind was constantly coming out of the S – SSW @ 3 – 5knot surfing conditions were still clean and smooth. Before glassing right off around 4.00PM with only 5 surfers in the water. Then around 4.45PM it was like automatic, doors starting opening in all the warungs, come bed and brekfasts. Letting out the bearded surfers staying in them for the mandatory afternoon session.
The Middle section of Impossible’s I noticed was peeling off some very make able and fun looking waves in the chest to over head high sector as well. While the end section was bigger but fatter, with a couple of stand up paddlers sharing waves with everyone. Uluwatu’s Racetrack would have been another good option on the afternoon low tide and I’m sure there would have been some sick rides gone down there as well.
Weather wise down on the bukit it was another mainly overcast sort of an afternoon with the bonus (not) of a few drops of rain.
Tidal info yesterday we had a 2.1mtr High @ 10.30AM and then a low of 0.3mtrs around the 4.00PM mark.
Ok at least I’m up to scratch on Bingin now, I’ll be back later this afternoon with more news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Surf Report Archives; You know if you look above the photos on this report you will see Bali listed with the other surf report locations. If you click on Bali then when the page opens you can see every report (and photos) that has been filed from years back. A good way to get an idea of what you might get through all of Bali’s surfing calendar.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Legian you’ll find that; — 1AU$=Rp8,620 — 1US$=Rp8,900 — give or take a few Rupiah.
I’ve also got another batch of photos to load up for ya’s from Uluwatu yesterday, courtesy of our good friends at Hendra Surf Photography.
