****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hi folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions here on first choice surfing holiday destination of Bali.
This mornings check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was once again only showing wave height to be a pretty weak looking knee to waist high plus range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind coming lightly out of the ENE @ 1-2knot. With what little swell there was today it was showing to be coming out of the SSW.
So we snuck over to Keramas on Bali’s East coast to hopefully find some waves. As it shows in today’s photo gallery it wasn’t too bad at all over at Keramas. Wave height was a consistent chest to head high with the occasional bigger set wave. Local surfers Pepen Hendrix and Devis Ratif were already in the water when we turned up. Putting on a show of power turns and tube slotting (for the 15 mins they remained in the water after I started shooting). Crowd wise there would have only been a peak of around 17 surfers in the water, we were the last to leave at 2.30PM.
Tidal info for today had a 0.1mtr Low @ 7.00AM and then running back up for a 1.9mtr High around 1.00PM.
Weather wise it’s been a mainly hot and sunny day here on the holiday island with a top temperature of around 31 degree’s celsius (and a lot hotter out on the black sand of Keramas).
Alim’s Medewi surf report was calling wave height to be breaking in the waist to chest high range with very occassional bigger set. Clean conditions with the crowd peaking at 20 surfers.
Our sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Report had wave height still a solid head to well over head high. Clean conditions with only 4 surfers hanging out on Money Tree’s at 7.30AM (I bet Cory Rix was one of them).
