****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello to all you surfers tuning into the baliwaves (’99) for today’s 1 click run down on surfing and weather conditions here on the first choice surfing holiday destination of Bali.
We were back over to Keramas yesterday afternoon, and as you can see in the photos I snapped wave height was a solid 3-5ft+ (head to double head high plus). But surfing conditions were a little testy with a strong cross shore WSW wind hitting gusts of up to 15knot+. Crowd wise there would have only been 10 – 15 surfers in the water at any given time.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing wave height to have backed off a touch but still showing in the waist to head high plus region between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Looking pretty fugly out there with the wind fresh on shore out of the West @ 8 – 12 knot.
Sms surf report from Leo at bali-surfing.com was saying wave height at Serangan over on Bali’s East Coast had also backed off down in the 2-4ft range, chest to over head and surfing conditions were also a little bumpy with fresh cross / off shore wind.
Sms surf report from the boys up at Keramas was calling clean waves in the chest to well over head region. With an average crowd of around 15 surfers in the water at the time of the report. Sounds like Keramas was the place to be this morning.
Tidal info for today had a 0.3mtr Low @ 8.00AM and then will be charging back in with a 2.2mtr High around 2.30PM..
Weather wise it’s not too bad at there this morning, considering that last night we had a wicked storm blow through the Kuta region. Gale force winds torrential rain and seismic level thunder and lightning for a couple of hours. Right now @ 10.30AM we have light cloud cover with the sun still busting through. But anything could happen later this afternoon with all the storm activity down below Bali at the moment.
