****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello surfers and cheers for dropping by the baliwaves.com (’99) to see what’s been happening here on the best place ever, Bali.
Sorry we never posted the last couple of days but as we all know what happened to our friends over in the Pacific Ocean last week, and to tell you the truth I just didn’t feel like doing it. Anyway I’m pretty sure everyone else’s eye’s would have been glued to their TV screens as well.
Today though, I thought I’d better get back on the ball and get everyone up to date. This morning weather wise we got off to a wet and windy start, but we also knew we were in for some, way better than it’s been swell. We decided on heading back over to the East Coast to suss out Keramas. As you’ve already seen in the few photos I snapped off today, that it was indeed cranking.
We turned up at 8.00AM just as the tide was hitting the bottom of the low to find 16 surfers in the water with wave height in the 2-3ft+ mark and the wind clean off-shore out of the WNW. As expected as the tide started to push back in up jumped wave height into a more solid 4-5ft. Crowd wise it mainly hung around the 20 – 25 mark for most of the day, some time slightly more, some time slightly less.
It would also be a safe bet to say that there were a lot of other locations on the East Coast going off today. I did get a sms surf report from Leo at bali-surfing.com saying that at 9.00AM Nusa Dua was already in the double to double head high plus range. Clean off shore wind and only a hand full of punters in the water.
Ok folks that’s about all I’ve got for ya’s today, but we’ll be back out there again tomorrow so stay tuned to the one and only 1 click Bali surf report. A big hello to Steve from Fin Solutions (Australia) who landed in Bali yesterday.
