****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello crew and thanks for calling by the baliwaves.com (’99) for today’s 1 click run down on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the best value for surfing holiday dollar, friendly little island of Bali.
This mornings 6.15AM surf check on the Outer reefs here in Tuban was as expected showing a big drop in wave size from the day before. Well actually it started fading out late yesterday afternoon and this morning it was lucky to be waist to shoulder high between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. The odd sly one coming through on Middle’s while the tide was still low enough.
By 6.30AM the wind was already light out of the East at 3k’s so we hit the road south for Uluwatu around 7.00AM. First up there was still a few nice shaped shoulder to head high waves on the Main Peak with around 25 surfers on it. Down at Temple’s there was still a few waves lining up with only a handful of riders. But as the morning progressed and the tide kept rising, by 11.00AM it was fat city in the wave department and time to head home. Driving home there was nothing really breaking on Impossible’s or at Padang Padang of course.
Hopefully sometime in the next 24hrs we should see another fresh swell here in Bali, and I’m happy to say that even a little further out on the radar is a solid looking swell in transit to Indonesia.
Tidal info for today had a 0.4mtr Low @ 6.00AM and then filling back in with a 2.6mtr High and finishing off with a dry reef 0.1mtr Low around 6.00PM.
Weather wise @ 6.00Am the outside temperature was 25 degree’s Celsius with 97% humidity, Wind North @ 3k’s. It pretty much stayed hot and sunny all day and on my last check @ 5.00PM the tmperature was on 30 degree’s celsius and the wind out of the East @ 17k’s.
Our 8.45AM (Bali time) surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp was calling wave height in the head to over head class on Money Tree’s down to the Pad. Clean and glassy conditions with 2 surfers in the water at the time. But I’d say there would have been a few more crew sitting on their second cuppa and waiting for the wind to turn off shore.
We’ve also got some new surfing / accommodation packages sorted out for those of you who want nothing more to think about except surfing, at the right place at the right time. Hit this info link to find out more.
