****MIDDAY SURF UP DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (’99) for today’s run down on surfing and weather conditions, here on the best value for surfing holiday dollar island of Bali.
Our early morning surf check on the Outer Reefs (6.30AM) was showing wave height hanging in there at waist to chest high plus between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy at the time with the wind only just detectable out of the North.
As you’ve already seen in today’s photo gallery I snapped, we thought we’d take a run up to Canggu for the run up tide and clean wind. We arrived at 8.00AM to see nice and clean waves breaking from the river mouth to the left hand reef break. The reef had sets coming through in the head to well over head range with a crew of 20 on it. The left hand sand bar was also dishing up some sweet sand bottom barrels with 10 surfers on it. While the right hander in front of the river mouth was delivering a consistent head to over head wave and the most surfers on it.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 2.6mtr High @ 11.00AM and then draining out with a 0.1mtr Low around the 5.00PM mark.
Weather wise today it’s been a hot and mostly sunny day, your typical day in Bali. Temperature wise right now @ 12.55PM we have 30 degree’s Celsius and the Humidity on 66%. Wind direction is coming lightly out of the South East @ 11kms.
Our daily report on the waves at G-Land from the G-Land Surf Camp this morning was calling wave height in the head to well over head high class. More Southerly direction in the swell with the action on the Pad down to Speedy’s. Only 2 surfers in the water 8.30AM (East Java).
We’ve also got another bunch of photos from our friends at HENDRA SURF PHOTOGRAPHY down at Uluwatu. What your going to see is some lucky surfers getting shacked down on the low tide Racetrack section yesterday afternoon. You can find this gallery in the Readers Report section.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Legian this morning I spotted that — 1AU$=Rp9,245 — 1US$=Rp8,560 —
