****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for calling by the baliwaves (’99) for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the always in season surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok this mornings 6.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing similar sized waves as yesterday with 2-3 footers breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport left. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind only just coming out of the NE @ 1-3kms.
As it shows in today’s photo gallery just for a change in scenery (right handers) we took a run over to the East Coast to see what was happening at Keramas. We arrived around 7.30AM to see punchy little waist to head high waves peeling off on the main break. Pretty well much the normal number of surfers in the water today, around the 15-20 mark. But when we packed up to head back to home base there were only 5 surfers left in the water with clean and glassy head high waves.
Tidal info for today had a 2.4mtr High @ 9.00AM and then will be bottoming out for a 0.3mtr Low around 4.00PM.
Weather wise we had some heavy rain falling through the night and into the early hours of the morning. There were also a couple more heavy showers happening while we were over at Keramas. Right now @ 2.45PM it’s still pretty cloudy with the temperature on 29 degree’s Celsius. Wind direction is coming out of the SE @ 17kms.
Swell Situation; What I can remember from looking at the charts is that on Wednesday and Thursday we are only going to be seeing some waist to head high waves down on the southern end of the island. But hopefully by Friday we may even see a few semi freight train tube rides at Padang Padang by late afternoon. The weekend is also looking promising with waves through until Monday.
Today’s G-Land Surf Report thanks to the G-Land Surf Camp was calling wave height to be hitting the bottom end of Kong’s and down to Money Tree’s in the head to well over head range. No surfers in the water at 8.00AM East Java.
