****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (’99) for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from right here on Bali.
This mornings 6.30AM surf check on the Outer reefs was still showing some nice fun sized waves. Wave height was ranging between the chest to head high plus region between Kuta Reef and Airport left. Surfing conditions were as good as they can get with clean off shore wind out of the East @ 3-6kms.
I also had to attend one of my local friends wedding ceremony at 10.00AM. Then I snuck back down for another look at the ocean to plan a photo shoot for this afternoon but wave height had seemed to have severely dropped back down into the 1-2ft class on the Outer’s. Hopefully it was just the High tide affecting it and we’ll still be able find a few winners down at the Racetrack later this afternoon. So if you get a chance call in this evening for a close up view from Uluwatu.
Tidal info for today had a solid 2.5mtr High @ 10.00AM and then draining back off the reef for a 0.2mtr Low around 4.30PM.
Weather wise just another warm and sunny day here on the holiday island. Temperature wise the mercury would have easily made 30 degree’s on the Celsius scale. Wind direction is currently coming out of the E-SE @ 13-16kms
Tomorrow is looking very promising with a new pulse of swell showing on the charts.
Today’s G-Land Surf Report, thanks to the crew at the G-Land Surf Camp was calling wave height still hitting Kongs and Money Tree’s in the head to almost double head high range. At 9.00AM there were no surfers in the water, everyone still waiting for the Tradewind to kick in and turn it on.
