****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi crew and welcome back to the baliwaves (’99) for today’s Sunday Session to wrap another top week of surfing here on everybody’s favorite surfing holiday island of Bali.
Ok so as I mentioned in this mornings “twitter” up dates there were still some nice fun sized waves in the waist to over head class breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport left. At the time the tide was just starting to run out but still plenty of water over the reef for Kuta Reef to be peeling off in the waist to head high region. Middle Reef was showing good sign for the midday low tide option as well. Not as much swell coming on to Airport left at knee to waist high plus.
I also had a text message from a friend who surfed down on the bukit this morning and reckons that once the Tradewind kicked in there was pretty well good waves breaking at every location from Balangan down to Uluwatu,
Early morning surfing conditions had an overcast sky and a light ENE breeze through until around 10.00AM when the ESE – SE Tradewind kicked in.
Tidal info for today had a 2.0mtr High @ 6.00AM, then running out to a 0.8mtr Low @ midday. Then finishing off the day with another High of 1.5mtr’s @ 6.00PM.
Weather wise it’s stayed pretty much overcast all day with the odd sunny patch. Right now @ 4.30PM the outside temperature is sitting on 27 degree’s Celsius and the humidity on 75%. The wind is coming out of the E – SE with gusts of up to 15 – 18knot.
Looks like similar weather and surfing conditions coming up for us again tomorrow. So call by for a new surfing gallery from some where here on this wave riddled island.
Today’s G-Land Surf Report from the good folk at the G-Land Surf Camp was calling a wet start to the day with early morning rain. Waves on Kongs and Money Tree’s and down to the bottom end of the Launching Pad in the head to double head high class. At 8.00AM East Java time there were 2 surfers in the water on Kongs.
