****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi folks and thanks for waiting around for today’s news on surfing and weather conditions from the first choice surfing holiday destination of Bali.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to have all but faded out, down into the knee to waist high plus sector between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean with a light ENE semi off shore breeze.
But never the less we waited for the tide to bottom out and then hit the road for the East Coast to see what was happening over at ever famous location of Keramas. Our first view was of small waves also not much bigger than what was breaking on the Outer Reefs, 1-2ft. But as the tide started to push back in there was a slight improvement and the odd shoulder to shoulder high plus wave.
The main break of Keramas only had 10 surfers on it at the time and there was some nice little fun sized waves for the boys and girls out there. But, sitting in Mr Keramas’s (Pak Ngurah) new warung right in fron of the Car Park peak we also noticed some nice shaped little one’s peeling off with 1 guy out there. So my crew decided, why not and hit it for a quick paddle.
Surfing conditions at Keramas today were clean and tidy with the wind light and clean off shore. lasting through until 12.00noon when the ESE Tradewind kicked in.
We also stopped in at “Secrets” on the way up to Keramas but wave height here was too small on the lower end of the tide @ 1 – 1ft+. Maybe as the tide started filling in there may have been a few sly ones.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 0.7mtr Low @ 9.00AM and then filling back in with a 1.9mtr High around the 3.00PM mark.
Weather wise there was a little more cloud floating over us and even a few drops of rain fell. Temperature wise the midday temperature would have still been up in the late 20’s on the Celsius scale.
