****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi crew and thanks for calling by the baliwaves (’99) for today’s news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the always “in season” surfing holiday destination of Bali.
This mornings 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to have back down into the waist to chest high range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. There was also the occassional bigger head high set wave hitting Middle Reef. Surfing conditions at the time were clean and pretty much glassy with the wind coming lightly out of the South.
As it shows in photo No.1 of today’s 53 strong photo gallery we headed down South back to Bali’s Premier surfing location of Uluwatu. We arrived as the tide was running in hard to find the best waves hitting the Main Peak and Temple sections. Surfing conditions at first were clean with the wind a light off shore, but it slowly shifted a little more S-SW by midday. Now that the wind has dedicated back to the SE I’m sure there would be some nice waves peeling down the Low tide Racetrack section. Driving back home to Tuban past Padang Padang and Impossible’s it would be a safe bet to say PP was pretty well waveless and the top end of Impossible’s in the 1-2ft range.
Tidal info for today had a 2.4mtr High @ 11.00AM and then draining off the reef for a 0.1mtr Low around the 5.00PM mark.
Weather wise for these parts we got off to a nice clear blue sky, more cloud cover through late morning and now back to blue sky @ 3.30PM. Temperature wise outside right now we have 28 degree’s Celsius, humidity on 70%. Wind direction is coming out of the SE @ 10-14knot.
Today’s G-Land Surf Report from our friends on location at the G-Land Surf Camp was calling in wave height at head to almost double head high. The best waves were shaping up for Kongs and down through Money Tree’s. At 8.30AM (East Java time) there was 1 surfer riding Money’s and one other lone surfer riding head high Launching Pad. Don’t forget to drop us a line if any of you would like a solid discount off your next trip into the G-Land Surf Camp.
