****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello everyone thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (’99) for the latest and greatest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the friendly little holiday island of Bali.
Shaping up for a nice weekend of waves here in Indo with this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs putting wave height in the head to double head high class between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions this morning as you can see in today’s gallery were as usual for this time of the year, clean as a whistle. Kuta Reef was the stand out with some long walled waves wrapping along the reef. Not too many surfers in the water, this place, at this time of the year in years gone past used to see up to 100 in the line up. Today there was only around 25. The tide was still too high for Middle Reef to work properly but you could see some solid 5 footers breaking, just a bit too fat. Airport Left also had plenty of waves in the chest to over head decision. And if the wind wasn’t so strong off shore Airport Rights would have also had a couple.
No problems finding a wave here in Bali today that’s for sure. I’d say just about the whole of the West Coast, from Legian beach all the way south down to Uluwatu would have been producing good waves.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 2.1mtr High @ 9.00Am and then running out for a 0.4mtr Low around the 4.00PM mark. Our next Moon Phase is going to see a New Moon rising tomorrow night the 28th of August.
Weather wise it’s been blue skys and clear sailing for the lucky ones here on holidays. Currently right now at 3.00PM the outside temperature is sitting on 28 Celsius with the humidity on 74%. Wind direction is coming out of the E-SE @ 17-22knot.
Today’s G-Land Surf Report from our friends over at the G-Land Surf Camp was calling in wave height in the over head to double head high plus sector. At 8.30AM the best waves were hitting Kongs and Money Tree’s down to the Launching Pad. Only 3 surfers in the water at the time of this report Don’t forget to drop us a line if any of you would like a solid discount off your next trip into the G-Land Surf Camp.
